Why We Love Mysteries

I like to share links that say it far better than I.

Mysteries--the traditional whodunits--also tell us the story that there is justice in this world. Not karma, but justice. The forces of government or society or God make sure the "killer" is caught....although we rarely see the trial and punishment. Many of the great literary pieces of the last 150 years are mysteries. Is not Crime and Punishment one (the mystery being how Rodion Raskolnikov will be caught?) Is not The Brothers Karamozov? Is not To Kill a Mockingbird? Do not Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn contain such elements?

I have written three mysteries--one will be out soon.

The mystery I am struggling with is how to monetize this website, though, without it costing me a fortune!
