Probably the stupidest rejection letter I have ever received.

We will pass on the publication of the book. One: We've got several things on our plate now that are taking a lot of time and wouldn't be able to get to it. Two: Historical fiction, while it is very popular, takes a huge amount of time when it comes to editing because we at XXX Books believe in super high-quality of the information presented. Because historical fiction is based on actual facts, we would feel the need to research all and confirm.


Thank you for pitching to us. Hope you find the publisher that can do right by your mss.
